Maestro move: Leipzig Opera picks Munich man
OperaThe next music director of Leipzig Opera will be the Croatian Ivan Repusic, 45, presently chief conductor of Munich Radio Orchestra.
He is also incoming chief of Weimar Staatskapelle.

Surely it is accidental that Ulf Schirmer, the previous music director, was working also in SAME Munich Radio Orchestra, also as chief conductor. (too) Small world… or club.
Also long-time Kapellmeister/principal guest conductor at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. I presume he’ll be leaving that post for Leipzig.
He did a very good Flying Dutchman a week ago in Berlin, among others.
