Conductor’s husband dies after concert fire
RIPA fuel-tank fire that broke out on October 21 during a concert at Austin High School, Texas, has claimed the life of Sam Herrera, husband of orchestra director Ana Solis-Herrera.
Sam suffered 60 percent burns and died after almost three weeks in hospital.
The school said: ‘Sam was such a generous and devoted supporter of the AHS Orchestra program — building haunted houses, painting practice rooms, cooking and planning and so much more, but most of all giving his time and positivity to the kids.’
