Is this a tornedo? Three Rossini operas in a day

For those Slippedisc readers who are new to opera this is an opportunity to discover three comic jewels by Rossini – live in the company of someone who can tell viewers a thing or two about what is going on. OperaVision host Mia Mandineau will be the guide throughout the day, starting at 14:00 CET / 1300 London/ 0800 NY, keeping audiences informed and entertained as they discover a wonderful range of comic characters – from assertive heroines to scheming tenors and foolish old men – all colourful party guests with whom to mark the day that celebrates opera across the world. The programme runs from early afternoon until late evening.
