This just in from the fabulous soprano Fatma Said:

Due to the most recent events in the region, Teatro San Carlo orchestra, choir and soloists have been asked to withdraw from tonight’s concert by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As such, I’m sad to inform you that the concert at the Pyramids has been cancelled.
I would still like to use this moment to thank everyone who bought tickets with the intention of coming. I salute the incredible organisers of this concert RMC Worldwide Partners, who put an indescribable effort in the past months until the very last minute to make this concert a once in a lifetime experience. And I can’t wait to come back soon and perform in my beloved country, Egypt.

Your headline is misleading. The Italian Foreign Ministry asked The Teatro San Carlo to reconsider going ahead with the concert because of the terrible situation in Israel. The artists were already there. Jonas Kaufmann, Maria Agresta and Fatma Said. Therefore it was cancelled and they are out of there.
