The night before his birthday he gave a beautiful concert as soloist in Harold en Italie at the Pärnu Music Festival. As birthday present _he_ gave the first movement of Telemann’s viola concerto G major as encore. It brought the whole audience to their feet. The orchestra spontaneously played “Happy birthday!” for him and again the whole audience was singing for him. An amazing experience!
