Not only was Yuzo an outrageously dynamic conductor but his Rhapsody for Orchestra distilled the essence of Japanese classical music in a manner that will never be eclipsed. And his stunning Cello Concertos deserve to be more widely known, performed. and appreciated especially in the West. Sayonara, my friend! YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!
