The night I heard him sing Daland (June 7) in the recent run of Met Dutchman, his voice sounded in poor shape.

  • Dmitri says:

NATO must have stopped footing the bill.

  • PG Vienna says:

Just listened yesterday to Mika Kares as Hagen in Götterdämmerung in the Wiener Staatsoper. He was excellent!

  • OK says:

He has a russian passport, so he is not a ukrainian bass, though he was born in Ukraine.

  • Anne Midgette says:

Norman, why is this illustrated with a picture of Plácido Domingo? I am puzzling over this one.

  • Maria says:

A passport only gives you the right to travel and sometimes with a fictious nationality. people going around with all kinds of passports and never lived in the country. So many suddenly becoming Irish to get round travel problems with a UK passport and Brexit to the UK, finding out they had one grand parent who was Irish, but pre-1922 they were actually on British passports.

  • Dixie says:

What does Domingo dressed up as Nabucco (?) have to do with this story?
