Romania mourns leading composer
RIPThe long-serving head of the Romanian composers’ union Cornel Țăranu has died at 88.
Alongside his original works, he completed a number of unfinished scores by Georges Enescu.
Official tributes describe him as ‘a complex personality of contemporary Romanian cultural life, an illustrious creator and teacher.’
