  • Curious says:

Could that have anything to do with the fiasco around Underwood/Zimmerman situation…?

    • BigJayWokerson says:

Titus hasn’t had a kill in awhile. Good time to run for the hills.

    • Audition follies says:

James Zimmermann is a person of integrity. He left with his head high. What happened in Nashville was and is disgusting, yet predictable in the US and other Anglo place whereby the arts have been hijacked by a certain group.

      • Bonnie says:

Uhg! Give it up already James! You got busted for being a racist and this constant attempt at exoneration is so tiresome.

  • CarlD says:

This is a short-term loss, for sure, as he was a dynamic and interesting leader. But they have a solid legacy and should be fine methinks. Would love to hear anything about possible successors.

    • BigJayWokerson says:

Marin Alsop’s Tri-gendered lesbian short person 1/8 native foster child is on the short list. gl to anyone else

    • Audition Follies says:

Is that a parody account or is that a serious statement ? Are you aware of the James Zimmermann fiasco and what they did to that Man and musician of integrity?

    • E Rand says:

Instablock for anyone who uses “methinks”.

  • Nosema says:

    ‘Woke up’ hehe

  • Eusebius says:

Didn’t he just quit his Wroclaw job some months ago as well?

  • Sara K. says:

Good riddance. Lack of integrity , not following their own rules, no morals destroyed that orchestra.

Ruined the audition process and turned that orchestra into a bad joke.

990 tax forms show the con ductor getting @>500k per season – for what? Movie night? Virtue signaling diversity theatre?

Sad , when there’s other choices out there that don’t cave to pc agendas and tokenism. In other words— ontologically embracing integrity and honor.

  • Thornhill says:

Guerrero has elevated the orchestra and done an excellent job striking the right balance between war horses and contemporary compositions with his programming. And he has great taste in living composers.

His successor will be walking into an orchestra in great shape.

  • James Zimmermann says:

Good riddance. Should’ve happened in 2019.

    • Audition Follies says:

      Thank you Sir.
Please know that those with a working brain stem know what that person/s did at that “non profit” corporation. Predictably, most “musicians”/“administrators” there had the spine of a jelly fish.
Admire you as a human being, bread maker, and musician.

    • Guest 123 says:

Nashville made the right decision re your employment. Good riddance.

  • Martin says:

For those who were not kept in the loop just tell us in plain words what happened. People leaving cryptic comments don’t help us to understand the issue at hand.

    • Horrendous what happens in the name of racial equality says:

      This should help https://www.google.com/amp/s/freebeacon.com/culture/how-racial-anxiety-conquered-an-orchestra-and-crushed-a-career/amp/

Mind you majority of people are Zimmerman’s side and blame Guerrero for giving in.

      • Sara K. says:

The “metric” you state appears to be quantity and being popular? Hundreds of millions can be wrong-look at recent events.
Sounds like people pleasing Sir, Madame.

      • Sara K. says:

        Agree fully Sir, Madame.

sorry for my insensitive comment, it was for others on chat regarding the failure of the institution and people within it not to stand with this man who was “railroaded’ in the name of pc /pr virtue signaling for the latest Anglo Saxon trend of diversity theatre.

Up to ~ 2020, us orchestras were fading away, after us empire black person police incidents, the us orchestras found a new way of getting more funding from their anemic audiences (sans pops concerts given by us born Latinos who magically post 2020 now speak with an accent…)—going over board w/ superficial diversity, awake trends, and obsessions with “inclusion.”

Meaning: audiences, players, “admin”—all must fully repent for being Anglo, hate themselves, leave, and worship everything musical -artistic that is not AngloSaxon/white/caucasoid.

The md not only gave in, Mr. Zimmermann’s colleagues and “admin” through him under the bus as an example of the awake, going overboard with covid papers/restrictions, “diversity”—tokenism agendas. Art is now hijacked by this stuff and is severely declining in many respects.

    • Sara K. says:

Maybe do some research Sir. It’s all out there on a variety of media.

    • Mayton says:

      Sample of many:

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1S1eB08664U

Plus other videos out there too from the terminated principal clarinette.

The principal who was terminated gave his personal accounts of what happened. they’re appear compelling because of evidence-based arguments and facts, not opinions.

  • Thanh says:

How does he even show his face? No shame.

  • Thanh says:

    Clarification for previous opinion:
It’s in regards to the incompetent and disgraceful person who left, NOT Mr. Zimmermann.

  • Gary Sudder says:

Is that the diversity hire oboe ? Wowsers. No thanks.
