Just in: Munich sacks Putin bass
NewsBavarian State Opera has replaced the controversial Russian bass Ildar Abdrazakov in the role of Boris Godunov next week, following protests that the singer had made statements in support of the Ukraine invasion.
Abdrazakov will be replaced by the Ukrainian Alexander Tsymbalyuk.
The change has appeared on the compoany webiste for July 4 and 6. It has not been officially announced.

If Abdrazakov supports Putin’s murderous invasion of Ukraine, then let him go sing for Putin.
Yes opposing war crimes and attempted genocide is so ridiculous. No doubt you felt the same way about negative reactions to pro-Nazi performers in the 30s and 40s.
His replacement is vastly superior both as an artist and – needless to say – human being .
