French conductor lands Austrian orchestra
OrchestrasThe Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich – not a name that trips off the tongue – has hired Fabien Gabel as its next choef conductor.
Gabel, 47, will succeed Yutaka Sado in 2025.
He was previously music director of Orchestre Symphonique de Québec from 2012 to 2021.
