Colombian maestro, RIP
RIPWe have been notified of the death of Alberto Guzman, one of his country’s leading composers and conductors, at the age of 70.
His major works include The Water Mass (based on Colombian Pacific rhythms), River of the Dead (about the Colombian civil war) and the operas Isaacs (about poet Jorge Isaacs) and Maafa (about the African diaspora).
Another contemporary musical genius taken in his prime! The whole world mourns his passing!
