ZoomerMedia, Moses Znaimer’s $100 million media company, has bought LudwigVan, the Toronto and Montreal classical news site, for an amount in excess of a million dollars.

Ludwig Van founder Michael Vincent says: “I started Ludwig Van in 2017 with the mission to keep arts coverage alive and change how media companies operate. Moses is not just an exceptional media pioneer, but a kindred spirit who resonates with our commitment to classical music, opera, and the arts. ZoomerMedia’s resources, coupled with Moses’ ground-breaking innovations in media, will enable us to transcend the ordinary and ascend to new heights in our mission. This alliance will empower us to create unparalleled arts media content, setting a new benchmark in Canada. The anticipation of what we are poised to achieve together is truly extraordinary, and I can’t wait to get started.’

Slippedisc.com congratulates LudwigVan, one of our close international partners.

Way to go Michael. A very talented man.

I wonder if there is any read across for Slippedisc.com in terms of valuation?

  • Jeffrey Biegel says:

    Congratulations, Michael!!

It must be noted that Ludwig Van is simply a different branding of a blog called Musical Toronto, founded by former Toronto Star critic John Terauds. It was John who developed the loyal audience that Michael Vincent has leveraged to financial success. Too bad no one thought to give him credit.

  • Ann Summers Dossena says:

Thank You Michael for your hard work in keeping us informed. Thanks also to Moses, who indeed is a positive force in Toronto and supporter of the arts who doesn’t get credit for all he does at Zoomer!

  • CarlD says:

Happy for whomever profits, but just for the record this is not an impressive valuation for a website sale.
