Berlin embraces Palestine Orchestra
OrchestrasDrawn from students at the Barenboim-Said Centre for Music in Ramallah, the Filasteen Young Musicians Orchestra made its Berlin debut on Tuesday with a Mozart concert at the Boulez Hall.
The conductor was Nabil Shehata, former principal double bass with the Berlin Philharmonic.
Funding was provided by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
