  • Pekka says:

I think it’s his third piano concerto.

  • anmarie says:

    Her (cough, cough) partner?

  • IP says:

Do you probably mean, her bikini premiere?

  • Tony Sanderson says:

The performance is available to view on Medici TV

  • Mock Mahler says:

I suppose we will never know what Klaus whispered in her ear during the post-concerto embrace.

    • Grainger Mock Morris says:

. . . and neither should we care.

    • Bey-Z says:

Hmmm, thinking their (sad) efforts to be classical music’s Beyoncé and Jay Z couple, maybe a part from that Bonnie&Clyde song?
“But, girlfriend, work with the kid,
I keep you workin’ that Hermès Birkin bag,
      Manolo Blahnik Timbs, Aviator lens,
      600 drops, Mercedes Benz,
The only time you wear Burberry to swim…”
Or… sorry, they are too “classy” for that…

  • Henry williams says:

People dress how they wish. Some guests go to a
    Wedding in jeans

  • ENRIQUE SANCHEZ says:

She is probably capable in presenting herself in only briefs. Wouldn’t put it past her moral turpitude to push the envelope off their stage and into our faces. Criticize me all you want, this is how low we’ve come and most people don’t seem to care for dignity anymore. Depressing.

    • Colin48 says:

The administrators of US immigration law regards the following to be examples of moral turpitude:

“Crimes involving moral turpitude are grouped into three general categories. They are: (1) Crimes committed against property (for example, arson, blackmail, burglary, larceny, robbery, fraud, false pretences, theft, receiving stolen property); (2) crimes committed against governmental authority (for example, bribery, tax evasion, perjury, fraud against government functions); and (3) crimes committed against persons, family relationships, and sexual morality (for example, serious assaults, gross indecency, lewdness, kidnapping, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, murder, voluntary manslaughter, rape)”.

Ms Yang is guilty of which specific offences?

      • Karin Becker says:

Miss Wang insults all those who have an aesthetic sensibility and the professional musicians who know that music is about the music and not about the bare legs of an exhibitionist. Miss Wang abuses music to be celebrated for her body. She is putting on a show.

    • Peter San Diego says:

It’s a matter of taste, not moral turpitude.

    • Guest Who Knows says:

You are 100% right Enrique !!

    • Sue Sonata Form says:

Yes because, as we’ve seen, it’s always a slippery slope. My rights are more important than yours. Yeah, right.

      What sort of narcissism…..??!!

  • Tim Walton says:

Why does she always seem to play in her undergarments?? Can’t she afford a proper concert gown?

  • WS says:

Why can’t some guys just focus on the music making for gods sake? Don’t say nasty things about her if your mind is already low. By the way, since when she is a US pianist?

  • PG Vienna says:

    How was her performance ?

  • Showphar says:

Eventually she will be to old to wear that and then we will really hear her play.

  • Carl says:

Classical music attire never makes any sense to begin with, so why pick on Yuja’s outfits? I mean, name another profession in which 19th century attire (tuxedos, floor-length gowns) is standard in the workplace. It’s completely ridiculous. Say what you will about Yuja’s taste, but at least she’s got one foot in the 21st century.

  • Sue Sonata Form says:

Yuja just looks sillier by the day!!

  • Peter Maleitzke says:

These comments are insane. Yaja Wang is an extraordinary artist, whatever she wears. She’s bringing life back to the symphony Hall, she’s fun, she’s gorgeous and she’s bringing new audiences. I don’t know what anyone’s problem is here.

  • Feminist says:

Oops, how did I end up reading Hello magazine gossip column…?

  • Save the MET says:

The critics this time seemed to get the message after her LA premiere of John Andams piano concerto not to being their review with a discussion of her fashion, rather than the work itself. I know letters were written to numerous critics that her fashion should come at the end of their review if they thought it necessary to include and lead with the work itself.
