The Danish conductor Michael Bojesen , having lost a defamation lawsuit yesterday against singer Peter Lodahl for leaking a sex-pest email, has now launched proceedings against Ekstra Bladet, the tabloid that published them.

He is demanding half a million Danish crowns ‘for breaches of the peace and honour’.

  • Paul Dawson says:

His sanity seemed in question right from the outset.

I wonder if he is being ripped off by lawyers here. His claim to ‘peace and honour’ was extinguished the moment he published that almost unbelievable email.

  • Robert Holmén says:

“…breaches of the peace and honour”

That must be some refined European legal concept that he has chosen to lose anew with.

In the US, as the author of the embarassing texts, he might claim copyright violations by the publishers.

But if his texts were sent in the service of his employer he probably wouldn’t even have that.

These sort of hopeless lawsuits are generally announced to do some image repair… to assert the notion that the litigant is the one who has been wronged.

  • Niels Hald says:

The danish Court quotes there is no reason to believe Lodahl has compromised Bojesen or sent anything to anyone.

  • TruthHurts says:

The Danish people must INSIST on a female conductor being hired. This toxicity is typical of male-dominated conducting politics. Perhaps Mrs. Tár is available??
