The Cleveland Orchestra has received a $7 million pledge from Jane B. Nord and the Eric and Jane Nord Family Fund to fund education concerts and transportation subsidies for students. Jane B. Nord has made it her personal and philanthropic goal to assure that every child, regardless of economic circumstance, can attend Cleveland Orchestra Education Concerts at Severance free of charge, providing equitable access for all young people in Cleveland to the benefits of an education rich in music and the arts.

    In other words, a $7 Million Indoctrination Fund to indoctrinate black and brown children to the glories of white music.

    Imagine Kanye West setting up a fund in the cushy leafy suburbs of Clevaland promising to provide free access for children to his concerts for “the benefits of an education rich in music and the arts”, I thnk the good citizens of Bentleyville, Pepper Pike, etc would run Ye outta town.

    So rich people are giving money to a rich corporate organization so poor children can briefly experience the indulgences of said rich people. Yup. That seems very philanthropic indeed.
