Young Brit wins another Lieder final
NewsThe British tenor Laurence Kilsby shared first prize at the Heidelberger Frühling competition with the Korean Tae Hwan Yun.
The jury was chaired by Thomas Quasthoff.
Kilsby, 24, won last year’s Wigmore Hall Song Competition and joined the studio of the Opéra national de Paris. He has been signed by AskonasHolt.

He’s excellent. I heard him in Poppea in Aix last summer. He’s going places.
A very fine and promising young tenor Laurence Kilsby is and he deservedly won the Wigmore Hall Song Competition prize. Hopefully his talent will be taken good care of in the years to follow.
