Breaking: London theatre goes bust
NewsRiverside Studios in west London went into administration this morning.
The centre, which housed three theatres and a cinema, overshot its redevelopment costs and was later hit by huge energy bills.
The Arts Council bailed it out once.
Now it has a week to find £1.5 million, or be shut down and (probably) be turned into luxury apartments.
To paraphrase the timeless Britney Spears: ‘oops [we] did it again’!
Again? Maybe it’s financially unviable.
