The finalist have been named at Spain’s oldest piano competition, the Maria Canals in Barcelona.

At the keyboard tonight are Roman Lopatynskyi (Ukraine0, Jonathan Mamora (US) and Valentin Malinin (Russia0.

The jury is not made up of the usual faces.

    Indeed the jury is refreshing, perhaps that is why the finalists are especially interesting.

    Spain—once largely responsible for conquering the New World and wiping out tribes from coastlines to mountain tops, is bringing together two countries at war along with the third party. Let them make the best of it
