NewsThe hall has informed us that the Georgian-French pianist pianist Khatia Buniatishvili has postponed her Carnegie Hall recital debut scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2023.
The pianist is expecting her first child.
As a mark of her social-media celebrity they have swiftly found her a replacement date, on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.

who is the father ?
Who cares?
Undoubtedly Vladimir Horowitz.
Big congrats to her!!
It wouldn’t have been her Carnegie Hall debut. She debuted in Weill Recital Hall in 2014 and played Zankel Hall in 2016. It would have been her Stern Auditorium debut.
For all the charm of Weill or Zankel, “Carnegie Hall” means the big hall.
Having fled for the exit at the intermission of her Weill Hall bombardment in 2014, I took this cancellation to mean that we had been spared another keyboard onslaught from her! Carnegie-Stern bookings should depend on artistic quality – not popularity. She doesn’t belong in the big hall – PERIOD.
And NYC breathes a sigh of relief!
Based on the picture you showed the other day when she was visited by Martha Argerich, it looks like that arrival should be fairly soon.
I got to catch khatia on my 65th birthday. Someone said her new baby is with Orlando bloom! Wonderful!
Orlando Bloom is currently involved with–and I believe engaged to–Katy Perry. He was pictured with Khatia several years ago so please do your due diligence before spreading false information.
For just the one night, they should rename it ‘Kharnegie Hall’, in her honor!
