Chorister hurt in Gergiev’s house by falling scenery
OperaThe Mariinsky Theatre has confirmed that a chorus singer was hurt by falling scenery during Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden.
The singer was rushedto hospital for a CT-scan, then sent home.
Such incidents have become relatively frequent on Russia stages.
Not just Russian stages…on many stages. The stage is a dangerous place, at times.
relatively frequent = two per three years
Two to three years too many.
Russians are certainly accident-prone these days….
Shame it didn’t hit Gergiev.
