All change at Opera North
OperaWith Richard Mantle easing towards retirement next year as general director of the Leeds company, Henry Filloux-Bennett (pictured with Mantle) has been brought in as executive director, starting in May.
He is presently Executive Director and Deputy CEO of HOME in Manchester.

What is HOME????
It is the Arts complex in Manchester. It is very, very woke which gives me cause for concern about where Opera North might find itself being forced to go. ACE will no doubt welcome Filloux-Bennett as a safe pair of hands from their point of narrowly Opera hostile view.. Opera North audiences might have good cause to be less confident.

HOME is the name of an arts centre in Manchester.
Opera North is the name of an opera company based in Leeds.
Can’t see a single abbreviation.
The Prime Minister is Rish! Sunak.
HF-B was appointed to HOME just eleven months ago, announced on 31 Mar 2022 to join officially in early summer 2022. Will he show equal commitment to Opera North? To be continued…
