English publisher wins Telemann prize
NewsThe city of Magdeburg has awarded its 2023 Georg Philipp Telemann Prize to a small publisher in the heart of England.
Ian Payne is founder of the Severinus Urtext Telemann Edition, published by Severinus Press in Hereford, England, since 1995. ‘In over 120 individual editions, Ian Payne combines musicological work with staying power, editorial competence, publishing activity and publishing know-how in an exemplary manner,’ the citations says.
