The year’s first concert by Amsterdam’s Concertgebouworkest features the world premiere of Anna Clyne’s new clarinet concerto, Weathered.

A gift to headline writers.

The soloist is Martin Fröst, the conductor Jaap Van Zweden.

Three performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

  • Serge says:

“The fifth and final movement of Weathered, Earth, begins with a fanfare-like figure in the brass – a sounding alarm to bring our attention to the crisis that long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns is bringing upon us. We are at a critical point.”

Wondering what is it like to life in North Korea? Look no further. Climate propaganda is e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-re.

    • MacroV says:

That’s grossly insulting to anyone who lives in North Korea. To say the least.

    • Barry Guerrero says:

Why the need to politicize. Climate change is a fact of life on Earth, with or without human intervention. The question is simply just how much human intervention has accelerated change, if at all.

  • Peter San Diego says:

I presume it received a properly Frösty performance but hope both piece and performance got a warm reception.

  • Greg Bottini says:

    Zounds, censored again!
