The Intermusica agency has picked up the Ukrainian bass-baritone Vladyslav Buialskyi from the Met’s Lindemann YA program and the Russian soprano Maria Motolygina from the YA program at the Bolshoi.

The Russian-American violinist Maria Ioudenitch has joined Raab & Böhm in Vienna, from Sonia Simmenauer’s YA nursery. In the past year she has won both the Tibor Varga and the Joachim competitions.

Singers Clive Bayley and Paride Cataldo have followed their IMG agent Angelica Conner, who has joined Askonas Holt.

  • Phil newton says:

During my lesson with Tibor Varga and watching his recital at Babgor University NWales in 1964 ,the ball of his left thumb was comfortably almost under the violin neck and the palm flat and facing upwards with the violin neck sitting cozy in the fleshy fork of the thumb and 1st index finger , reminiscent of Tom Rolette , deputy leader of the RLPO 2 years before. Vargas violin rested flat on his shoulder Sans any pad or rest support ,more on the collarbone ,See Paul Rolland Method.
