So glad it’s Arthur Fagen conducting the premiere. I don’t know why I heard Wilkins because he sucks at conducting.
Two remarks. First, there is already an opera on the same topic by Grigori Frid (1969). Second, she was not Dutch but German. Her family fled from Germany to the Netherlands. Not that it makes the suffering in any way different…
