One of the cruelest of all diseases…..
You’re right, Monty.
The body horribly wastes away while the mind stays alert. My uncle Gordy succumbed to this disease, and I’ll always honor him for the mental fortitude and grace with which he stuck it out to the end.
My sincere best wishes go out to you, Roberta.
Hang in there, beautiful….
Bless you Roberta! Your artistry will be cherished eternally.
Remembering her songs as I write.
What a wonderful artist! May she rest in peace; by her music she will live on in the hearts of many music lovers.
What a lurid headline!!! Norman, these words are a NO-GO!!! ‚Silenced forever‘ means nothing else than DEAD! Next time, choose your words mire carefully!
It’s an awful disease; my mother died from it, but fortunately at age 82; the real tragedy is when it hits someone in their 30s or 40s.
Terrible as ALS is, we can appreciate that Roberta Flack has at least had a long and eventful life, even while lamenting it will end this way.
In July last year, I started on Lou Gehrig’s disease TREATMENT PROTOCOL from Health Natural Centre (ww w. healthnaturalcentre. org). One month into the treatment, I made a significant recovery. After I completed the recommended treatment, almost all my symptoms were gone, great improvement with my movement and balance. Its been a year, life has been amazing
