Such a shame. Sadly, the Palestinians missed their opportunity for peace when the Israeli Labour party was in power.

    • Ariragi says:

In 2008 Ehud Olmert (Likud/Kadima) made the Palestinians their best deal since 1948 offering essentially the 1967 borders with land swaps. Remember also it was Likud that pulled out of Gaza. It’s a myth that only Labour can make peace. In Israel they say only Likud can make peace because if Labour does they will be accused of being weak.

Haaretz remains a beacon of light for its truthful and thorough journalism. It remains the best source of news concerning the Israel/Palestine War. There is no source in the USA as trustworthy and complete.

  • Alan says:

That’s not supposed to happen in a democracy. Barbaric, neanderthal carry on

  • Anatoly says:

Hi Norman, you seem to be having trouble with the Hebrew so here it is in English. Suhail (not Suhil) Khoury runs the Edward Said Conservatory of Music, and has nothing to do with Daniel Barenboim, or the Barenboim-Said Foundation, neither of which is mentioned in the article.

Most of the report seems to be unavailable without subscribing. It would be interesting to read the whole thing.

Apparently, this would be the Palestinian Police. In which case I would not expect any reason is necessary to engage in violence.

Not that the Americans, who believe freedom of speech prevails everywhere, or rather, think it should, could not get arrested by the Israel Police. To see evangelists threatened by the police is a tragic farce, but apparently blood stains are still avoided.

Meanwhile in the West, actual crimes are increasingly unsolved, and even unreported, hello UK, because the Pride Police are literally wearing rainbow colours and enforcing the correct use of pronouns.

    Oh, humanity.

  • Claudio says:

The idea that this guy could do smth illegal is ignored just because he is related to Barenboim thtough his parents?

Or issue here is that democracy and people’s rights are delusion?

  • soavemusica says:

Meanwhile in Russia, the police appears to have bravely upheld the Soviet tradition. According to a recent video, the performative protester Artem Kamardin has publicly confessed his hate speech.

He would, having been taken by the police, claiming to have been beaten up, stripped, and raped in the process. The result of “a trial” is undoubtedly known in the Kremlin.

Well, they certainly wouldn’t do it for no reason. He probably threw rocks at them or attacked someone.
