Breaking: Hong Kong orchestral musician is charged with explosives offence

Man Hay, a trumpet player in the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, has been remanded in custody after police claim to have found explosives in his possession.

If convicted Hay, 31, faces a possible jail sentence of up to 14 years. A bail request was refused.

    Hmm just searched and here are more details in case anyone is interested. He rented a storage space and stored 25lb explosives on Sept 2nd. Other suspicious findings include 3 broadswords, 2 axes, 2 baseball stick, 1 wood stick and 43 metal balls. Not sure the scale of the attack he is planning.

    PS it was reported by very few media. I wonder how Mr Lebrecht learned the news.
