Aussie scoops major German prize
NewsThe young Australian clarinetist Oliver Shermacher has won both first prize and audience prize at the International Aeolus Competition for Wind Instruments in Düsseldorf.
It’s worth 20,000 Euros and an open door to any orchestra audition in Europe.
Cool. I wonder how open the door is, though. I don’t think he’ll get far in Germany or Austria, playing a Boehm system clarinet.
Well done Ollie!
What a great success, congratulations!!!
