Early death of Opera News writer
RIPThe New York writer and singers’ coach Scott Barnes has died after months in hospital with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was the widower of the late Opera News editor Brian Kellow, who died in 2018. Scott was a frequent contributor to the magazine.
Aprile Millo writes: ‘I am sobbing writing this. A very great soul has crossed to paradise. A dear friend. He is now with Brian his great love and that is the only happy thought. A really beautiful educated lovely man of the arts. God bless you dear friend and thank you for all your wonderful support and for all you gave so freely from an open heart.’
