Breaking: Bayreuth loses its Dutchman
NewsThe Swedish baritone John Lundgren has cancelled all performances in this summer’s Bayreuth Festival ‘due to the severity of personal problems.’
Lundgren, 53, was meant to sing the title role in Flying Dutchman, having previously pulled out of Wotan in the new Ring cycle.
The new Dutchman will be Thomas J. Mayer.
