US fusion guitarist dies, 79
RIPThe infinitely curious Jim Schwall, partner of harmonica player Corky Siegel in the Siegel-Schwall Band, has died of natural causes in Arizona.
The pair performed together for 57 years.

As a performer Jim, whom I met now and then in Chicago and later in Madison, Wisconsin, was primarily a blues guitarist. But he also held a doctorate in music composition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wrote operas and other “serious” music and taught music at colleges.
