Exclusive: Domingo’s grandson gets job with artists agency
NewsThe variously experienced Dominic Domingo has been appointed Senior Artist Manager in the vocal department of the AskonasHolt agency in London. He will work with Angel Blue and Simon O’Neil among others.
Dominic was formerly Director of Artistic Administration at San Diego Opera and associate producer of his grandfather’s Operalia Competition.
He seems to be well-qualified (more than many…). Congratulations!!
He reminds me of a certain other (equally dashing looking) famously named “grandson of”: George P. Bush.
You’re right — he’s very like him.
What does he know about singing?
Probably quite a lot considering he’s worked in opera for much of his career.
He holds a degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. And as my partner says, who cares? He’s smokin’ hot!
Great teeth.
Evviva il nepotismo
Working at AH was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my career. Bullying, nasty, unpleasant, unfriendly. And I know things haven’t changed much, 20 years later. Good luck to him…
Nepotism at its finest! Nothing like promoting the offspring of a disgraced sexual deviant whose position in this industry is only due to his family name. Plus, he’s a devout Scientologist. A cult whose work and influence have ruined and ended countless lives. Good luck to the artists on his roster; they will need it.
