Comments

  • Oliver says:

Concert date is April 20, NOT just a day after this tragedy.

  • Paul Johnson says:

This is sad news. He was Principal Conductor of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in the 70’s.

  • Gershik says:

    Rest in peace, Maestro Brott!

How often in Vancouver conductors get hit by a car?
Ukrainian conductors, 2 weeks before a concert for Ukraine, during Russian genocide against Ukrainians?

The driver must have been on the assignment of countering “demonization of Russians and Rusophobia”

  • Charles Franklyn says:

Wasn’t he the 1st conductor of the Northern Sinfonia? I recall a concert in St Pancras an aeon ago. A lively presence on the platform.

    • Brott etc says:

      NO it was Michael Hall.
My teacher was leader of the orchestra.

He had a very low opinion of Brott as a conductor, never knew the scores, and made a mess of rehearsals.
