German opera appoints American boss
NewsWuppertal Opera has named Rebekah Rota as its next intendant, taking over next year.
Rebekah is presently deputy head of opera at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Before that, she was an international soprano.
A Californian by birth, she has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
