NewsThe BBC’s WATO has run a feature on a proposed statue for the Beatles’ manager, an initiative led by a cousin of Paul McCartney’s.
LGBT groups are backing the installation, claiming that it would be the first statue of a gay person in the city.
It might also be the first Jew on a Mersey plinth.
The city council has yet to grant planning permission.
