Judge rules that 4 music professors were sacked unfairly

Four tenured music professors whose jobs were abolished in a $6 million budget squeeze in December 2020 have won a court order to be reinstated this spring.

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, was told it had acted against its own rules in sacking Yvonne Chavez Hansbrough, Robert S. Hansbrough, Bruce C. Roter and Sherwood W. Wise.

    Grateful that our story was picked up by Slippedisc and by the Chronicle of Higher Ed! We won our lawsuit but the College is appealing. We’ve established a GoFundMe campaign to carry on this legal fight. Please help if you can!

    Should be firing ALL of the school administration personnel that signed off on this. They can be fired FOR CAUSE.
