Certainly there is far too much Covid over there, all the travelling, and then a very low percentage vaccinated due to shortage. At 81, classed as vulnerable too. Wise move but at the end of the day, really not necesary to sing at his age just because crowds are willing to pay good money, and time to retire from singing. Glad I was around whern he was at his best as a tenor.
He should keep singing for as long as he wants…..
Better than the other way round.
Couldn’t he use this as a face-saving excuse for FINALLY undertaking a long-overdue retirement from performance? Or would he insist on at least continually inflicting his embarrassingly depleted vocal state on the rest of us through recording, staged video’s etc.
Domingo seems to have become a sniveling lying coward. He should at least have the minimum decency to tell things as they really are. don’t blame it on covid.
Truth is: the arena where the concert would have taken place is way too big for a classical music concert, it is located in a not so nice part of town and sale of tickets were sluggish!
Thanks, good to know.
Domingo has been a very naughty man. He despised Mexico and never said a word about his family being granted asylum there. In his silly book he only aknowledges foreign teachers like Carlo Morelli. He rarely mentioned the illegitimate son he had before he married, and as a full time coward, denies his many affairs…
Time to forget this man….
