Tonight’s performance is going ahead but the next two – December 23 and 28 – have been cancelled.

The ROH says its is ‘due to resource challenges caused by the Omicron COVID-19 variant.’

  • Cynical Bystander says:

Much more of these cancellations to come across the world. Whether the Lyric Arts and much more can survive what is fast becoming the norm is now very much open to question.

  • Dr. Science Christ says:

Now is not the time for concerts. Now is the time for a third dose of science’s greatest miracle.

  • Robin Worth says:

Shame. Saw the rehearsal on Friday and it was great , in particular Alexander Vinogradov reminded me of Samuel Ramey at his best.

But the performance on Thursday 23rd was scheduled for 12 noon, an odd time of day, with Christmas looming, and the last time I looked the house was only half sold. Has this something to do with the cancellations?
