Brazilian musicians have been rocked by the death in Rio de Janeiro of Leonardo David, principal conductor of the Camerata Orchestra of Sesi. He was 43 and apparently suffered a heart attack.

David, formerly an orchestral violinist, was also a professor at the Faculdade de Música do Espírito Santo. He leaves a grieving wife and young children.
