  • David Derrick says:

Or as Arnold Bennett more elegantly summarised the plot: “It is simply the story of a young man providing a tragedy for an ageing woman by ceasing to love her, and an ecstatic joy for a young woman by beginning to love her.”

    Nothing anew in these opera-plots.
This could well be from Koh-Lanta too…
I am not a fan of operas-someone screaming at the back with some background music…how can you have feelings with that kind of “music” is beyond my …feelings!
    Personal opinion of course.

    • Diane Valerie says:

Strange. I have a friend who has expressed similar sentiments about piano music (although she will happily listen to music played on the violin, flute, etc.) I think you should both take a tip from Prince Orlofsky.

    • Allen says:

Seen plenty of comments like that before, but I’m surprised to see such a shallow one here.

Apart from everything else, have you tried “screaming” over two octaves or more?
