Hamburg will admit audience without masks from November
NewsThe Hamburg State Opera says it will drop the requirement for staff and audiences to wear masks, a month from now.
It will also abandon dstanced seating.
However, all staff and audience members will have to show proof of vaccination.
So the same as London theatres and concert halls.
I, for one, was delighted to hear this news yesterday. Similar report from the Berlin Deutsche Oper, too. I believe I also saw something along the same lines from another German company, though I can’t recall which one. I’m planning on a month of operas (mostly) in Germany in December-January and will be happy to have–and show–a smiling face during the adventure.
