US Bach scholar, RIP
RIPThe death has been belatedly reported of the Baroque musicologist, Don Oscar Franklin, Professor of Music at the University of Pittsburgh from 1970 t0 2009.
Don, who was 82, had been struggling with multiple myeloma.
He died on May 31.
RIP for the great man.
One question for the Blogger-in-Chief though: how can one be a “baroque” musicologist? Are there”romantic” musicologists??
Even better: are there serial musicologists?
Everybody take cover!!!
