Montreal’s incoming chief has Covid
NewsArthur Kaptainis informs us that Rafael Payare, the symphony’s music director, is locked down at home in San Diego with a case of Covid.
His wife, Alisa Weilerstein, had it a few days ago.
‘What is important,’ Payare said, ‘is that because we are vaccinated, it didn’t go to a different stage. Because we never know what this virus can do…’
