Baltimore musicians lose a Hollywood supporter
NewsMembers of the Batlimore Symphony Orchestra have posted a memento of the television actor Ed Asner (Lou Grant), who died this weekend aged 91.
Asner was not much of a concertgoer, but he was on the union side of the picket line at any performing dispute.
There is a wonderful German/Yiddish word which I believe describes Ed Asner completely: he’s a ‘mensch’. May you Rest In Peace – Ed Asner, (“Lou Grant”). You were/are a great guy….and full of spunk.
