Leipzig. Do you guys need an editor?

  • BP says:

Miriam Pastor, currently English horn of the Concertgebouw as well as the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, recently won the audition for principal oboe at the Orchestre de Paris.

    • Axl says:

Yep! That’s a schok news! And speaking English horn.. there is now something going in world of English horn: Bayerischen Rundfunk is still looking new EH player (vacant since 2016) and Gewandhaus might soon need also new EH because Simon Sommerhalder recently won principal post in Orchestra Suisse Romande

      • Gerhard von der Linde says:

Yes, so it is. And what a lucky day for the Orchestra it is, that Frau Taurina today has win the audition for Solo-Englischhorn! Gratulations for her and the Gewandhausorchester from all of Leipzig!

  • Axl says:

Huge congrats to her! Wonderful news!

  • Fiddlevlad says:

Would you be so kind as to correct “Leipig” to “Leipzig”? I know, I know, semantics, who needs them….

  • Maurice says:

And the right size of n-comma would be less distracting, thus: Tauriņa—there, I found one in the Wikipedia article on Latvian.

  • Eusebius says:

she reminds me of the raunchy oboe player in the tv show “Mozart in the Jungle”.
