Tanglewood confirms a half-season

The 2021 Tanglewood festival will offer six weeks of performances, amid comprehensive public health and safety policies. That’s about half the usual festival, and with provision for a live audience.

The content of the festival will be rolled out next month.

    Although I live in the Boston area and love the BSO I’ve only been to Tanglewood once and that was years ago and yet I can’t tell you what a thrill I felt reading this news.

    Meany Center at the University of Washington is also planning to resume concerts, at reduced capacity.

    So glad to read about the resumption of Tanglewood, at least part of it. However, the accompanying photo shows the campus of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, adjacent to Tanglewood. BUTI will be online this summer.
