San Francisco’s youngest opera singer dies at 90
mainThe glamorous Joan Weldon was just 16 when she signed on as a member of San Francisco Opera, its youngest singer on contract.
Before long, she was spotted by Warner Bros and featured in a number of long-forgotten B films.
She returned to the stage in New York in a fistful of Broadway musicals.
